Inspired by David and Goliath Statue, Seton Delaval Hall, from Florentine. Late 16th/early 17th Century. 03.02.2021

Alternate Text: In the extreme forefront of the canvas, the head of a giant looks off to the left, open-mouthed. The eye travels up the figure of David standing behind him, sword upraised. The sky behind them is filled with the silhouette of hordes of flying birds. The piece uses grays, blues, and greens.

Inspired by Katsushika Hosukai's woodblock print of, "Under the Great Wave of Kanagawa," circa 1831.

Alternate Text: Mechagodzilla is under the Great Wave of Kanagawa. He stands ominously above the Lincoln Memorial and Mt. Fuji. The lines of his sectioned, mechanical tail lead back into the painting. Above his head, in the background, are F-16s and F/A-18s in a Super Delta pattern.
